F.A.Q.

What is your refund and cancellation policy?
For any reason the client must cancel the event, the client may do so at any time. The deposit paid will not be refunded nor transferred to another date. There is no refund for reasons including cancellation of wedding, wedding date, weather, sickness, and dissatisfaction of trial. There are no refunds for wedding date changes. In the event that there is a situation beyond our control (i.e., pandemic), a date change will be offered upon availability of the Artist and the deposit amount will be transferred to that date.
Cancellations for the bridal party: Service cancellations for scheduled patron(s) will not receive a refund. However, the client has the option to replace them self with another individual. Transferred service(s) must be equal to or less than the contracted price.
We ask that you notify us ASAP of any cancellations so we may open your spot for someone else.

What makes you different from other artists?

Prices are usually determined by the artist's experience. I've been licensed for 15 years and specialize in bridal. I've done a dozen+ magazine covers and worked with private clients, and I am the owner and have assistants that I train to work on the group. Also, more time is reserved for the bride. The application process is more detailed, professional products are used to ensure that the hair and makeup will last throughout the day. It's important to prioritize glam services for your wedding day as you are getting photos taken and makeup translates differently on a professional camera.

Do you offer group discounts?
New special *ask about $50 off of your trial when you leave a Yelp and Google Review!

What events are under the bridal rates?
Any event in which a bride is present such as a civil ceremony, elopements, 10-year anniversary, reception, engagement party, henna night, DIY weddings, etc. is considered a bridal event.
Desi weddings (South Asian brides) will require booking the full day rate for all ceremonial events.

What should I expect for my bridal trial?
When in doubt, try it out!
I customize the hair and make-up look to suit you and your comfort level. If you do not know what you want, it is best to have a trial done. Don’t assume you can’t have an up-do because your hair is too fine/short, that your hair won’t take curls or that your eyes are too small for the smokey look you’ve always wanted to try. Let us explore all the possibilities! During your consultation, we will discuss your vision for your wedding day.
If you already own hair extensions, bring them with you. Do not purchase new ones; I will provide further instructions on what hair extensions are required to achieve the look. Also, having multiple trials is an option too. It is a good way to confirm that you made the right decision. While you’re at it, make your trial into a date night!

• Trials are scheduled on weekdays only.
• Devote up to 4 hours for the hair and makeup trial.
• Shampoo scalp and condition ends the day before. For textured curly hair, please have hair blown out, unless you plan to have your natural curls styled.
• Wear a white top for photo purposes.
• Bring any hair extensions, hair accessories, veil, tiara, earrings, etc. Extensions are available for purchase..
• Email a self-photo or IG handle
• Email your desired hair/ makeup look or Pinterest board. Do your research before your appointment and narrow down your ideas!
Trial payment is due on trial date (not on wedding date). Acceptable payment form is cash, PayPal or Zelle bank transfer only. Credit cards are not accepted at this time.
Late policy: there is a 15-minute grace period or you will lose your appointment and any deposit paid

Can you service a large group or bridal party?
Yes, I have an expert team of stylists and assistants that I will bring with me to accommodate all scheduled patrons. My team are trained to have a synchronous style.
The amount of artists needed is based on the services requested, as well as the time constraints. This can range from one to six artists. I will ensure that the bride will be ready on time.

Do you offer hair extensions?
Yes, I offer clip-in hair extensions for sale. Hair extensions are used for the appearance of fuller/ longer hair. The clip in hair is non damaging to your natural hair. They are very easy to attach and remove. While there are many options available to consumers, we suggest using the extensions provided by Soreya only. These are made with highest quality hair to ensure lasting curls. The extensions will need to be cut and prepped for specific placement. Afterwards, the extensions can be washed, heat styled and used for 3-4 years.
If you have a color appointment, it is best to place your extension order one week after your color appointment so we can get true color results. Please contact me for a color match consultation and how-to instructions. Hair is pre-order only.

Can you travel to my location for my wedding?
Yes, my team and I provide on location services for all events: weddings, red carpet, Quinceaneras, etc. It is usually most convenient to service clients on location. This allows for a group and vendors to work together without the stress of transporting from one location to another. We will arrive at your location fully equipped with studio lighting, director’s chair and all tools needed. Our only request is to have table space to set up our work area, preferably in an open area with the most day light.

LA brides: The first 30 miles from North Hollywood, Ca is complimentary. Each additional mile is at $5.

SF brides: The first 30 miles from San Mateo, Ca is complimentary. Each additional mile is at $5.

Destination weddings that require airfare: A one night hotel accommodation will be required for destination events outside of California.

I have been fortunate to have become an avid traveler for work! My travel hair and makeup kit has become more efficient overtime. For destination events that requires air fare: service rates are doubled for weddings outside of the Los Angeles service area. Domestic first class air fare, cab rides, valet fees, and hotel accommodations must be compensated by the client. Example would be San Francisco, New York, Hawaii.

How long will it take to service the bride and the bridal party?
Bride: 3-4 hours for both hair and make-up
Bridesmaids/ mothers: up to 1.5 hours for both hair and make-up
A beauty schedule will be created according to your wedding day timeline and is to be approved by your wedding planner.

Can I book services for the bridesmaids but not for the bride?
Yes, you may book services for the bridal party only. Prices will be under the regular event rates.

What type of make-up do you use?
Each Make-up Artist has their own custom make-up kit. We carry quality products that offer long lasting results. We do not use drug store cosmetics. We mix and match products from Charlotte Tilbury, Denessa Myricks, Este Lauder, Giorgio Armani, Hour Glass, Patrick Ta, Makeup by Mario, One Size, NARS, Laura Mercier, Lorac, Stila, MAC, Ben Nye, Temptu, and more. Most of these are HD formulated and designed for photography and extended wear. We prefer to use our products because we know how they perform and can predict the proper combination to maximize results.

What is in the Bride's touch-up kit?
Brides will receive a cosmetic bag with:
Full-size lip gloss
Full-size lash glue
Oil blotting sheets
Travel size blush and brush
Travel size hair spray
Hair pins
Tissue pack
*items are subject to change.

Is the make-up waterproof?
Yes, the make-up is waterproof. The cosmetics that we will be using are waterproof mascara, waterproof pencil/ liquid eyeliner, and a face setting spray.
Although, no make-up is 100% tear proof, a complimentary touch-up kit is provided for the bride. Tears can cause any eye liner to smudge.
The products and techniques used were developed to ensure maximum durability and longevity. The products used are similar to those used in production and film. Your look will endure through intense lighting, heat, tears, humidity and perspiration. No matter your issue, we promise better results than you can get on your own.

What are acceptable forms of payments?
The preferred payment form is PayPal and Zelle bank transfers are also accepted. Unfortunately, we do not accept cash, checks, credit cards and Venmo at this time. If you are a recurring salon client, a credit card on file is an option.

When do I pay the remaining balance?
The remaining balance is due on or before the wedding day. For large groups, I will collect one payment from the bride to avoid any confusion.
You do have the option to pay in advance. Many brides prefer to pay off all of their vendors prior to their wedding day so they can avoid handling money on their wedding day. You may add services for the group at a later date with a deposit. An inquiry does not guarantee a reservation of the wedding date. The date is reserved for whomever makes the deposit amount first, even if it is before the trial date. Package rates goes up every year.

Is a deposit required?
Yes, a 50% deposit of the total services is required to reserve your wedding date. The deposit payment will go towards your total balance.

How far in advance should clients book your services?
One year is the furthest out that I book. To ensure availability, I recommend booking your wedding day at least 6 months in advance. Trials are recommended to be scheduled 2 months in advance, ideally on your dress-fitting day. Also, we want to stay within the same season and trend. Please note that your wedding date remains open for other inquiries until a deposit is received.

Is there an early bird fee?
Early bird fee for start time before 8am. Price is $100 per hour. Example, start time at 6:30am is 1.5 hours before 8am, therefore 1.5 x $100 = $150 for early bird fee.

What if I want a look change or touch-ups?
The bride usually requests for touch ups when they have more than one gown or want to show case more than one look. The Artist will stay for 2+ hours for touch ups or a look change.
I highly recommend booking touch ups if you are wearing your hair all down. Curls will always open up and if your hair does not hold curls well, it is best to have the stylist there to re-curl!

Can I use my phone while you are doing my makeup/ hair?
Most delays are caused by the client using their cell phones, chatting with others, eating/ drinking, and arriving late. We are on a timed schedule therefore, during your service, we ask that you hold off on these activities until the makeup is complete. It is easier for the artist to create when the canvas (you) is still. We want to make sure the hair and makeup is even and  you walk out looking perfect!
